Preview This feature is in preview and available for hotels. After a hotel stay has been booked, Jinko keeps looking for a better price for the same room. When the stay can be cancelled for a full refund, Jinko searches the same hotel once a day. If the same room becomes more than USD 10 cheaper, Jinko books it at the lower price as a new booking, cancels the original stay, and refunds the difference to the traveler.

How it works

  1. The hotel booking is confirmed and paid.
  2. Price Drop Protection is added to the booking. It is free.
  3. Jinko searches the same hotel once a day, until shortly before free cancellation of the stay ends.
  4. When the same room costs more than USD 10 less, Jinko books it as a new booking, then cancels the original stay.
  5. Jinko refunds the difference to the traveler’s original payment and emails the traveler the new booking.

What Jinko checks

Price Drop Protection only acts when the booking and the replacement are eligible. Jinko checks:
  1. The booking is paid, for one room, and can be cancelled for a full refund
  2. The replacement is the same hotel, room, board, dates and guests
  3. The replacement can be cancelled for free until at least the same date
  4. The traveler saves more than USD 10
A stay is rebooked at most once. Jinko handles the search, the new booking, the cancellation, and the refund. Integration details, request and response shapes: Price Drop Protection guide.
